01 September 2016 – PNW Migration Update

Shorebirds continue to move through the area.  Quite a few Solitary Sandpipers are showing up and an unusually high number of Buff-breasted, Baird’s and Semipalmated Sandpipers as well.

But, last night was another low level night for movement.  Winds were mainly out of the east with a drizzle here and there. Check it out:

I threw in the National Composite so you can match the winds to migration density.  Check out the Mississippi Flyway.
