PNW Migration Update – 25 February 2016

Another night of relative calm, clear, navigable air space with just a hint of a southerly tail wind —  even in late February, birds are headed north.  Looking at last night’s radar around 3:15 UTC (7:15 PM PST) we see a, maybe the first?, green return, possibly up to 20 dBZ,  arising out of north central Marion County and making a line toward Mount Hood through eastern Clackamas County.  Very, very curious.

Today’s Reflectivity Loop and a snap shot of Cameron’s Winds of the Earth.
