08 October 2015 – PNW Migration Update

With early evening rain and southerly winds along the coast and pushing inland, migration across the Pacific Northwest was limited and spotty.  We still have the bulk of that huge low pressure system centered in the Gulf of Alaska to contend with – maybe this weekend?

So, lets take a look at migration on the National level.  I’ve grabbed a snapshot of last night’s action.  You can see that the Atlantic, Mississippi, and Central Flyways are still funneling birds south when conditions are favorable.  Here’s the Loop from Paul’s archive.
